About the School

A Sainik School for the backwater country of Kerala.

Vidyadhiraja Vidyapeetom Sainik School was inaugurated on 22 January 2025 by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh at Mavelikara, Alappuzha district — the fourth Sainik School in Kerala, and one of 100 New Sainik Schools set up in partnership mode with trusts and private institutions under the Sainik Schools Society, Ministry of Defence. Built alongside the long-established Vidyadhiraja Vidyapeetom Central School, it is a fully residential, CBSE-affiliated school for cadets from Class VI, counted among the best Sainik Schools in Kerala for cadets preparing for a career in the Armed Forces.

"Every cadet who walks out of our gate should be ready for three things: a classroom, a command, and a crisis." — Office of the Principal

Our cadets rise before the sun for physical training, spend their mornings in a CBSE classroom built for scholarship, and their afternoons on the parade ground, the playing field, or in NCC drill — because a Sainik School education asks something of the whole person, not just the mind.

Principal's Message
"Chattambi Swami taught that true education attains something within the self, not just a certificate on paper. That is what we hold our cadets to. Every cadet who joins us in Class VI leaves us, years later, ready for the NDA, for a career, and for life."
